CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY - CSR



Creating a shared value in the society is a major need through which equality in the society can be established. One can define the shared value as a policy or an ethical strategy of the organization but creating societal togetherness with an unbiased human value is the real nature of the corporate accountability.

At SCPL the corporate accountability can be found in various dimensions. Free health-checkups, eye camps and awareness on eye donation, blood donation camps, etc are a part of the CSR that the organization still keeps in action.

Helping the starved people is the greatest path to righteousness. SCPL provides free food to people who are below poverty line and for the people who could not meet up the square meal. Along with this food is provided during mega loan disbursement mela's.

During the unforeseen circumstance of COVID-19 the organization on humanitarian grounds helped more number of people in various methods. In lieu with RBI, moratorium was granted to every single member. Day-to-day essentials were distributed to the members and customers via our frontline soldiers. Every member was provided with rice and other necessary items that could make up their living.

WORKING OBJECTIVE

A dedicated CSR team along with the detailed procedure is on the cards. The guidelines formulated by the team will be followed by the delegation of power prescribed.

SCOPE

The scope of CSR is to healthy life style to members, environmental safeguard, livestock protection and economic activity, Empowering of clients in social aspects and Eradication of hunger.

KEY FUNCTIONS

Camp Activities – there are four kind of camp activities organized on the basis of circumstance and field requirement namely Health Camps, Environmental Camps, Veterinary Vaccine Camps & Charity programs.

HEALTH CAMPS

Health camps include variety of programs namely ortho camps for bone related problems, Eye camps, General Health camps, Pulmonary & dental camps, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Cancer awareness camps, Diabetic retinopathy, Fertility camps, Health checkups, Cardiac Camps.

After initial screening, members who are referred to hospital for further treatment will be sent to hospitals and their surgery expenses will be covered under government schemes. Blind control societies also play their maximum role possible.

Hospitals are chosen based on their humanitarian attitude and availability of government schemes along with insurance.

ENVIRONMENTAL CAMPS

Through such environmental campaigns large numbers of tree saplings are provided not only to protect the environment but also to benefit the members economically.

VETERINARY CAMPS

Despite providing health camps to members, the CSR team provides veterinary camps for the health of the livestock. This is made through tie up with the Government Veterinary Hospitals.

In addition via CSR, Charity programs for Poor & Old age, charity support to destitute persons, Support to physically challenged children, Festival celebrations along with the mentally challenged are arranged.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

The Purpose of CSR in women empowerment is to create self awareness among women in the society and to educate the members the better ways to create maximum benefit.

In lieu with health camps, women empowerment campaigns are organized for creating literacy in various disciplines amongst women.

FEDERATION LEADER MEETINGS

The major purpose is to promote IBL business. Other aspects include importance of centre meetings, member attendance, loan utilization, benefits of new member mobilization, updating of operation policy, etc.

FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAMS

The set of skills that allow an individual to make informed and effective decisions with all of their financial resources is called financial literacy programs. It focuses on the ability to manage personal financial matters in a efficient manner, it also includes the knowledge of making appropriate decisions about personal finance such as investing, insurance, real estate etc.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

On March 8th every year international women's day is celebrated at all our regions to create awareness regarding women rights. Usage of helmet, environmental awareness, current issues that continuously exploit women and ways to tackle them is also educated.

INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

On 25th November every year International day for elimination of violence against women is organized in which we try to eliminate violence against women and to fortify them with the strategies to resist the domestic violence enforced on them.

ERADICATION OF HUNGER

Free food (annadhanam) is given to member who comes for borrowing the loan. Also food is provided to old age people, orphans, mentally disabled, street dwellers, and destitute people and in the places of worship in daily basis.
